Customs destruction

In some instances, goods are not allowed to be imported into the European Union. Then these items must be destroyed by order of the Customs Administration. You can also turn to Huiskes for this so-called customs destruction. This can be done with and without physical supervision by Customs. We also have a complete range of services for this type of product destruction. We destroy almost all kinds of (traded) goods and residual products, except foodstuffs..

What is customs destruction?

Customs destruction concerns the destruction of products still under the supervision of Customs authorities. These are goods that are not allowed to be imported into the European Union (EU) for whatever reason. The product destruction must then take place at an accredited company, with or without official supervision from Customs officials. As an accredited destruction company, Huiskes has years of experience with this type of customs destruction for businesses.

This is how destruction works with Customs supervision

After the safe destruction of stock or products under the supervision of the Customs authorities, you as a supplier will receive a certificate of destruction. This is also known as a COD (Certificate Of Destruction). This is a certificate of destruction that states that products have been destroyed discreetly and under strict conditions at Huiskes. The certificate lists the commissioning party and what goods and quantities have been processed. You must forward this certificate to the Customs Administration yourself.

Destruction of electronics and electrical equipment

As an electronics recycling specialist, Huiskes is WEEELABEX/CENELEC certified to handle the processing of electronics and electrical equipment in a responsible manner. Consequently, at our company, customs destruction is done according to the strictest European regulations. This allows us to ensure that rejected goods are no longer able to enter the marketplace.
